I am the husband on this account.I needed to drill (2) 5/8" holes through about 7" of wood. On the 1st hole the bit started pulling itself through the wood just fine, drilling about a 3rd of the way, I stopped to clear the bit before drilling further. went to drill another 3rd & only got about a 1/2" the bit stopped pulling itself. It happens , So I just figured I'd clean off the leading cutting edge & continue. Nope. This is the way the rest of this hole went. !/2" Clean & Clear, Over & Over till I Finally got through. What a PAIN !..... Because I'm in tough spot in a very Hot attic. That day I was Done with it. Sent a complaint to Amazon, printed a label without a problem. Packed it back in the box. Started looking at other bits to buy. Still need that other hole. I decided to rip the box open again & torture myself through the last hole in the hot attic. Guess What this time the bit works perfectly. So I decided to keep the bit. If I ever have to use it again I sure hope it drills like the 2nd hole.
