When I first picked up this bit I could see how strongly built it is. This thing is a monster, but it is more than big, it is clearly well built too. I love the length and it can really help in tight or difficult spots that a normal length bit can’t reach. Sometimes I need to drill through three courses of brick and this masonry bit is long enough to do that without any trouble. This big 9/16” diameter 18” long bit is very sharp too and the tip is durable. The drilling performance stands out. I think the carbide tip is the key to this performance. It both cuts well and it lasts. So far, there are no signs of wear or its drilling ability slowing down. The flute design clears the cut material nicely and I don’t find myself having to blow out the dust very often. This bit does a good job and I think it is a good value considering its durability.
