I love this product. It turns Dremel rotary tool into versatile tool suitable for multitude of light projects around the house and at the same time saves space. I only see a few drawbacks:1. Switching to the flexshaft attachment is somewhat awkward. The stand does have provision for using the the flexshaft tool, which is a big plus in itself.2. I am using this stand with the Dremel 4300. The 4300 comes with the light module, which I found helpful sometimes, but the light module can't be used if the Dremel is installed in this stand (or may be I have not found the way to attach the light module yet). it is unfortunate.3. The entire assembly moves along the round shaft. It is kind of cumbersome to align tool with the center of the base in horizontal plane.4. There should be an indicator of angle from the vertical (may be just a bubble level?) when the Dremel is being used in tilted position and returned to vertical. In my opinion, if Dremel will find the way around the abovementioned drawbacks, this stand will be a solid "5 star".This will be updated one I take it home and play with it, but I immediately tried my Wen 2305 (purchased 2019) rotary tool, and it threads into the "cup" just fine - no cross-threading or thread mismatch. (This is *just* for the thread on the body of the tool, under the removable cap; this is *not* for the chuck/collet threading.)So, if you want a press-adapter with more features, now you know the 2305 will fit, or at least mine does; it's physically similar enough in size and shape that it drops right in, other brands, models or anything else that changes the size/shape may not fit, and I'd suggest hauling your tool out and comparing it to a Dremel model that's on the approved list.(If the screw didn't fit properly, I'd be reviewing that here.)(And if I'd bought a Dremel in the first place, I'd not need to write this fitment review.)Much to my chagrin my old Dremel drill press stand was not compatible with the more powerful 4300; This stand is. I'm not expecting to be pin point accurate but for occasional light work the price is right.Surprising quality for mounting and holding a Dremel tool. I have used other plastic Dremel holders in the past, but this is far superior. Have no doubts, this does the job!!PROS: I like the stability of this press assembly. Having it screw directly onto the Dremel Tool end is awesome. Very UNLIKE some cheesy drill press attachments I have tried to use with drills. This holds the tool very solid and steady with no U-bolts to vibrate loose. The mechanism is pretty heavy, adding stability and absorbing vibration. The press mechanics work very smoothly, giving lots of control for fine drilling operations.CONS: The drill bit size is very limited. It can accept up to 3/16" bit with the drill chuck assembly (sold separately or in combo package)I tried to use it as a "plunge cutoff saw" by putting a saw blade on and turning unit to 90 deg. Position. That worked OK, but the work had to be held off to the side because the saw blade was off of the drill press table area. The biggest issue I have with this unit is that the plunge/press assembly cannot be locked in the down or partially down position for light milling operations. If you want to perform a milling type operation, you must adjust depth by bringing the entire assembly down and simply leave it in the "full up" position. However, it DOES have a depth limiting collar for drilling..All in all, I would definitely buy it again. I just wish the table was bigger and that it had a way to lock the depth without having to adjust the entire assembly (i.e. pull the plunge lever to the desired depth and lock it in place.)I like to take care of my tools/equipment. I keep them clean and organized. I try not scratch them. That being said when I received this product it was missing a part and the base plate had deep scratches on it. Returned this one for another. The 2nd one came back with all the parts but again the base had not as deep scratches on it. I kept rhis one because I needed this set up.This thing does work well. I do enjoy working with it. I hate the scratches but have gotten use to them. This thing functions as described.Would I recommend this to anyone? NO.I will recommend you go to your closes hardware store and buy it from them. You are going to pay the same. Maybe cheaper if they are having a sale. Or order it online from your hardware store.Amazon has gotten bad with damaged or slightly damaged goods be sold. It's like shopping at a scratch and dent place. They k it this that is why they are so quick to refund your money or send you another 1.I am slowly training myself to order from stores directly giving myself a better chance at receiving money's worth on my purchase.BUENOReasonable value for the money. Do not try this for precision drilling. The lateral play is quite large. Carbide small bits may shatter easily. So far, one of the best options in this price range. If I can improve it down the road, I'll post an update. After having Dremel tools for many years, so disappointed after buying this one. Very inaccurate, even after tightening the little adjustment screw on the side. When pressed down, the drill bit tilts toward you because of bad design and the fact that there is a combination of metal and plastic to construct a moving mechanism (as marked on the picture). No neck adapter to use the rotary extension instead of the rotary tool itself). Very unreliable and un-even holes and cuts because of the tilt. Dremel should innovate more and come up with a better design (and thank its customers for finding and pointing out their design issues).Pros: Good material, good workmanship, reasonable size, very good spindle travel.Cons: It is unbelievable that the design of the lower housing where the Dremel sits is designed in such a way that every time you want to change the bit (head), you have to loosen the Dremel and take it out!! And the worse thing is that the nut to be loosened is a plastic one and I do not believe it will last more that a hundred times of bit change, which is literally nothing. Reaching this number happens in a few days. ANOTHER CON is that the assembly guide has drawings which are good but not adequately clear to show you the tips and tricks of the assembly. For at least a couple of points, you have to struggle a lot to figure out how to put the Dremel and the stand together. I have assembled it but not used it yet. So, I will have to test it to see how stable it is, and how it performs overall.I permanently mounted a cheap (Canadian Tire) dremel like machine and it is acting as a station for drilling vertical holes in small carving projects I do or other small jobs. It does the jobs fairly well but it is definitely not an industrial setup. It is fun to use but one has to be paying attention at the limitations of this stand. Special attention has to be paid to how fast you want to drill holes for example. You need to take your time doing so. You will also be limited to 1/8" hole diameters when using it the way it is mounted on the picture accompanying this review. I have not tried it horizontally and neither with other accessories beside drill bits. Para mi si me funciono y no kede decepcionado del producto al hacer algo tan simple cómo esoI had an earlier review giving it a five before I used it extensively. But after a period of use I found out something not as good. The biggest problem is that the drill is not perpendicular to the base plate. There is no way you can adjust it. This is something unexpected from a brand name Dremel. The locks and hinges are mainly plastic, therefore there is a slight play the drill bit can move in locked position. Not for precision work. The dremel motor holder is also made of plastic and it is precariously mounted on the vertical shaft giving it more play. And it feels quite shaky when operating the bits. The round black tool holder on the shaft does not hold down the tools. and the top swivel hook is a joke it swings with mind of its own. If you need to move the gadget around, be careful not to spill the tools or letting the swivel getting in your way.The lock handles are not exactly easy to loosen and tighten. It feels spongy but not solid. The only solid part is the base and the shaft. I am not so sure how this product passed the dremel quality assurance.
